After you find your courage, you then need to communicate clearly
and effectively.
"Often lack of communication," writes noted sex researcher
Helen Singer Kaplan, "helps to perpetuate a dysfunctional sexual
system and to escalate an existing problem."
Be sensitive to differences in your communication styles. You might
be more affected sexually by work stress or relationship conflict
than your partner is, for example. For many, it's difficult to have
good sex when you don't feel good about yourself or your relationship.
