The best thing was widening my horizons beyond what I ever thought was possible. My life is so much richer because of our marriage. I never imagined 10 years ago that I would be making regular trips to India to visit family there, travel to see 1000 year old temples, and be accepted (for the most part) into a culture so different from the one of my birth.

What a great question.
I think being in an intercultural relationship has taught me that after uncovering the center of ourselves in our mixed marriage, that we are quite the same. We have different outer coverings, but when we look at our lives, where we have been, what the goals of our lives have been, we are much more parrelled that we thought.
