We're definitely not into the luxury veg out on the beach kind of honeymoon. My wife and I went to Arizona for our honeymoon and decided to camp. This was early June. It snowed. We opted for hotels for the rest of the stay. We're not very outdoorsy, needless to say, but nor are we into golf courses and resorts. The Navajo and Hopi rez's were not only beautiful in a bleak way, but culturally interesting. We were reading Native American history to each other and arriving at these spiritual centers and finding abject poverty. Again, not exactly romantic honeymoon material, but an ideal trip all the same.
